When assessing SterlingParker, there are several clear strengths and weaknesses that punters should carefully consider. One of its notable strengths is the quality of its mobile app, which stands out as user-friendly, responsive, and intuitive. Another significant positive for SterlingParker is its comprehensive selection of sports markets. What’s more, SterlingParker Australia has a really strong mobile app. It’s easily downloadable for iOS and Android devices, easy to navigate, and importantly, is really quick to use. This is basically the main thing that I look out for in a mobile app – if it’s fast, it’s good. If it lags, I probably won’t use it. 
 
But appearances and functionality aside, realistically it’s in the actual markets and odds that a betting site is most judged. SterlingParker doesn’t have a great selection of different sports available, but among the sports that they do offer they have a huge range of different leagues and no shortage of different markets available. Their odds could certainly use some work, though. 
 
For racing, they have a standard selection of races and markets available, though this is a clear area in which they need to improve. The odds for racing are among the worst in the industry, and given that this is really the only area in which one betting site can be differentiated from another when it comes to racing, this is a major red flag. 
 
But moving on from that, there is plenty else that this new bookmaker does right. Their customer support platform is relatively solid, with live chat and email available seven days a week and their customer support agents generally pretty helpful. 
 
In terms of banking, the options are limited, as they usually are with new betting sites, but that won’t be a problem for most. Depositing options are twofold, with debit card and bank transfer available, while for withdrawals you will only be able to use bank transfers. 
 
Overall, there is a bit to like about SterlingParker Australia and they have certainly positioned themselves as yet another new betting site worth checking out. Their major issue at the moment is the racing odds, and if you’re a punter who bets primarily on racing then you’re probably best off looking elsewhere. For sports punters, however, they certainly have a lot to offer.

The more different betting sites you look at, the more you will realise that by and large, the offerings of many are very similar. Never is this more evident than in the racing aspect of bookmakers. 
 
Generally, the layouts are pretty similar. There are a few races available on the home page of a site, or alternatively you can toggle through to every race available on that day and generally tomorrow too.  
 
The markets available won’t vary too much either. For every Australian race and generally major international ones too, you’ll have all the win/place markets, as well as the standard exotics such as trifectas and quinellas. SterlingParker Australia is no exception. 
 
Which means, essentially, that to separate the racing components of different betting sites, it mainly comes down to one thing; the odds. Unfortunately, SterlingParker’s are, to put it bluntly, pretty woeful. 
 
A quick look at their odds for an upcoming race today reveal that their odds for nearly every runner are worse than basically every other betting site. The favourite, for example, varies from $2.70 to $2.80 on 13 major other betting sites. At SterlingParker, that runner is $2.60. Another is between $10 and $11.20 with those other bookies, and is at $9.50 with SterlingParker.  
 
That is quite consistent across all runners and all races, which makes it really difficult to justify betting on racing with SterlingParker. Their margins are really high, meaning that they take a higher cut from each race. This is often the case for new bookmakers who need to make ends meet early on as they establish themselves, but as a punter, that isn’t your problem to worry about. You want to get the best odds possible, and unfortunately at SterlingParker that is far from the case. 
 
The rest of the racing part of their site is perfectly fine, with an easy to use platform and all the major markets. But as mentioned above, the odds are make or break with racing, and for SterlingParker, this section is broken as a result of their poor odds. 

Features which help one betting site stand out from the rest aren’t always super easy to find in new betting sites, and that was the case to an extent with SterlingParker, too. Generally they offer a relatively standard experience, though there are a couple of nice elements to the bookmaker which aren’t necessarily available across all betting platforms. These are a couple of the most notable standout features available with this betting site. 

Live chat 

Live chat is for me by far the simplest method of communication with a betting site, and whenever it is available I invariably ramble on about how great it is in these detailed reviews. This is because it is not available on every betting site, and when it is to me it is a big green flag. Fortunately, SterlingParker Australia does offer live chat, and even more fortunately it is available seven days a week. What’s more, in my experience using this platform, you will generally be put in touch with a customer support agent who is willing and able to help you out. 

Same race multis 

A few years ago, same game multis began popping up as an exciting new way to bet on individual sporting events, and same race multis followed soon after, offering a similar experience but in the racing world. But neither is universally available, and same race multis in particular can be a little more tricky to come by. SterlingParker, however, offers both, and it’s the same race multis – given their relative rarity – which stands out as one of their most notable features. These are available on individual race page simply by clicking the ‘Same Race Multi’ tab above the runners tab, which is also where you will find the exotic markets. These same race multis are relatively straightforward; every runner will have odds to finish first, in the top two, top three or top four, and in a same race multi you can choose up to four to finish in the top four, three in the top three etc. The way this differs from a trifecta, quinella or first four is that you can tailor it a little more – for example, you might only pick three horses to finish in the top four, one of which you might pick to finish in the top two, giving you more flexibility and the chance to secure better odds, too. 

SterlingParker is not exactly an industry leader in terms of how many different types of sports it offers for punters to bet on. At the time of writing, there are ten available, though these are predominantly the more popular sports, meaning for many punters there will be enough on offer. In this section, we’ll take a look at the kind of markets are available for some of the more popular sports this bookmaker offers. 

Australian Rules Football

Australian rules football is actually not one of the sports offered by SterlingParker at the time of writing, but that will all change soon enough once the AFL season comes around. When the AFL season kicks off, SterlingParker delivers a solid number of betting markets for individual games, providing decent odds for major markets and enough player props to keep you interested. Even during the AFL offseason, SterlingParker keeps up its footy offering by providing AFLW odds. While the odds for AFLW may not match those of larger leagues, if you just want to bet on something basic like head to head then you’ll find it here. 

Basketball 

SterlingParker Australia caters to the growing popularity of basketball betting in Australia, with a particular focus on the NBA and NBL. It has markets from leagues from all around the world, but its extensive array of markets for the NBA in particular is really clear, with over 600 markets on offer for some upcoming games, as shown in the screenshot below. 

Same game multis add an extra layer of excitement which not all NBA betting sites have, allowing users to combine bets within a single game.  

Rugby League 

SterlingParker also has plenty on offer rugby league season, offering a wealth of markets for NRL games and the iconic State of Origin series. This will clearly be particularly popular in the northeastern states, where rugby league holds sway in winter. SterlingParker provides same game multis, competitive odds, and a broad range of markets for these major rugby league matches, as well as a handful of futures. NRLW matches also receive attention, though with odds that may not be as competitive as those for major leagues. 

Soccer 

SterlingParker's commitment to the global appeal of soccer is evident by its huge range of different markets for the sport, with odds from everything from the EPL through to the Bosnian and Herzegovinian Premier Liga. Clearly you get more markets with the bigger leagues and better odds too, but overall there is more than enough here to keep soccer fans happy. SterlingParker also provides same game multis, with sometimes upwards of 300 marekts available for individual games.  

American Football 

With the NFL season in full swing, SterlingParker, like most betting sites, is capitalising on the growing popularity of the sport in Australia by offering a wide range of different markets for the league. This includes upwards of 500 markets for individual games ranging from head to head to individual player props and quarter/half markets, while there are also markets – albeit a fair few less – for college football. 

Cricket 

Though there have been question marks raised recently about the potentially waning popularity of cricket among some corners of the sporting population in Australia, the fact remains that it’s still the number one sport in the country during the warmer months. While the potential oversaturation of the sport courtesy of the wealth of T20 cricket going on is, in the eyes of many, part of the aforementioned problem, it also means that there is a huge amount for punters to bet on. Most new betting sites have a pretty similar approach to banking; keep it as simple as possible. SterlingParker is no different in this regard. Their banking platform is relatively basic and doesn’t provide customers with a whole lot of options, but to me that is absolutely no issue. In this section, we’ll take a look at your options when depositing and withdrawing with SterlingParker. 
 
Let’s start with deposits. If you’re looking to fund your SterlingParker betting account, you’ve got two options; debit card, and bank transfer. This is much the same as with most new betting sites in Australia, and while not being a particularly broad selection, should cater to the vast majority of potential customers. 
 
Debit card is the simplest way to deposit, with the user simply needing to input their card details to deposit into their account. The reason this is my preferred way to deposit is that the funds will arrive immediately in your account.  
 
This isn’t the case with bank transfer. While still a relatively simple way to fund your betting account – it simply requires you to input your bank details – the funds will take a few hours if not a day or two to arrive in your account. This could be a good thing if you’re trying to show a little more restraint with your betting, but if you want the money available immediately then debit card is your best bet. Note that with both of these methods, the minimum deposit is $10. 
 
If you get to a point where you want to withdraw money, the options are limited even further. Debit card isn’t available here, so the only choice you have is to do a direct bank transfer. 
 
As with bank transfers for deposits, this isn’t an immediate process and you will have to wait for a withdrawal time of generally at least a day for the funds to arrive in your bank account. Note that like with deposits, the minimum amount of money that you can withdraw is $10.

Banking is purely there as a medium to fund your account and hopefully withdraw, and the two options that they provide are more than enough for me. 
 
If you prefer to use another method then of course, the lack of options will be an issue. For the vast majority of punters, however, bank transfer and debit card will be simple enough to use, meaning these options will be more than enough to keep them satisfied.

If, for example, you don’t have the time to sit around waiting for a response and organising everything in one go, you can simply send off your email and continue with your day. For me, however, live chat is the simplest way to get most things fixed. This can be done from anywhere, and doesn’t require you to a) speak to someone, and b) find somewhere quiet to have a phone conversation. This instant message option is, like the phone option, generally a very efficient way to get queries resolved. 
 
Further adding to the SterlingParker’s customer support platform is the fact that these mediums are available seven days a week. This isn’t an entirely novel concept, but that SterlingParker offers assistance not just during the working week, but on the weekend, is of great value. For many punters, the weekend is the time they are most likely to be punting and subsequently when they will most likely need assistance, so having live chat and phone available during these hours is key. 
 
Of course, a couple of simple ways to get in touch with a betting agency means nothing if the customer support agents are not any good. I’ve used both live chat and the email address to contact SterlingParker Australia, and overall had no complaints about either the way I was spoken to, or the ability of those agents to help me out. 
 
Overall, SterlingParker’s customer support platform is a pretty good one. Nothing about it really stands out from the crowd, but it doesn’t have to. The job of a customer support platform is to provide a place for customers to get help directly from the betting agency, and that is exactly what this one does.

As you would expect, opening an account with SterlingParker is pretty easy. After all, they don’t want to place any impediments between potential customers becoming actual customers, and as a result the process takes just a minute or two of your time. This is how it’s done. 

• First, head to www.sterlingparker.com.au 
• Locate the Sign Up button in the top right hand corner of the page, and click on it. 
• That will bring up a page which will ask you for some basic information both about yourself and the account that you wish to create. You’ll have to enter in your email, personal information such as your name and date of birth, and your address. You’ll also have to create a password, acknowledge that you are over 18 years of age, and click on Join Now. 
• Once you do this, voila – your account will be created. 

How to place a bet with SterlingParker 

Now that you have opened up your account with SterlingParker, you will no doubt want to be able to place a bet. It’s a pretty easy process and unless you’re a first time bettor you can probably figure this one out for yourself, but for the newbies out there, this is how it’s done! 

• Locate the market on which you want to bet. This is a simple case of following the prompts, heading to either racing or sports, and finding your way through to the event of your choosing. 
• Once you have done this, simply click on the odds which are alongside the market on which you wish to bet. 
• This will bring up a betslip on both the desktop site and the mobile app which function in the same way. 
• You’ll see a box in the betslip with an empty space for you to input your desired stake – click on this, and type in how much you want to bet. 
• At the bottom of the betslip, you will see that the stake you’ve input is confirmed, and the potential winnings if the bet gets up will also be stated. 
• Make sure that this is a bet that you wish to place, click confirm, and just like that your bet will be live. 

How to place a same game multi with SterlingParker 

As we’ve mentioned a couple of times in this detailed SterlingParker review, same game multis are a fun addition to this site which enables you to include multiple outcomes from the same event in one bet. This is how you place those bets. 

• First, find an event on which you want to bet which has same game multis enabled. This can be confirmed by ensuring there is an ‘SGM’ label alongside the game, as shown in a screenshot earlier in this review. 
• Click into the event, and locate the ‘Same Game Multi’ tab at the top of the page as shown in the screenshot below.

• Once you click on that tab, all of the markets which are available to be included in your same game multi will come up. 
• Click on as many or as few markets as you wish to build your same game multi. As you do so, the odds and the number of legs will be shown down the bottom of the page. 
• Once you’re ready to go, click ‘Add to betslip’. 
• This will bring your SGM up on your betslip, and you then simply do as you would for a regular bet. Input your desired stake, check the potential returns, and click confirm to place your same game multi!
