Drops back to 1600m here for his first start of the prep but there is a genuine front runner in Father's Day in here so the hope is that they won’t go too slow. He has two wins and a second in three first-up runs so fresh is clearly no issue for him. He will not have seen ground as quick as this but connections are smart enough not to risk him if they think he won’t cope.

Good or soft ground is fine for this mare who has only failed to finish out of the frame on one occasion in 10 career starts. All of her wins have come over 1100m so far but she has only an extra 100m to cover here. She does her best work when she is able to get on the front end, winning at Wyong last time. That was the first time in four starts that she has saluted first up which is impressive. Her record on her second start is two wins and a second in three starts so there is a strong chance that she is going to improve here.
