Everton vs. Arsenal
Goodison Park, 10:30 PM, Saturday, April 5
Arsenal took care of business midweek against Fulham at home, but they should be in for a tougher test away from home against Everton.
The Toffees have been strong at home since even before David Moyes rejoined the club earlier this year. However, they’ve taken things to another level under the Scot. Everton have lost just one of their six EPL home matches under Moyes, and that was his first game in charge against Aston Villa back in January.
Arsenal deserve to be favourites here and probably will win, but don’t be surprised if Everton make things difficult for the Gunners.
Everton vs. Arsenal Prediction: 0-1
Predicted Lineups
Everton: Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Gueye, Garner; Harrison, Doucoure, Alcaraz; Beto
Arsenal: Raya; Partey, Saliba, Kiwior, Lewis-Skelly; Odegaard, Partey, Jorginho; Nwaneri, Merino, Martinelli
Crystal Palace vs. Brighton
Selhurst Park, 1:00 AM, Sunday, April 6
It’s time again for one of the strangest rivalries in British soccer. These teams don’t like each other and no one knows why–unless you’re a Palace or Brighton fan, that is.
The betting sites favour Palace here, but not by much. Our EPL predictions agree that there’s not much between these two sides.
Four of the last seven meetings between these clubs have ended in a draw. The last five matches at Selhurst Park in the Premier League were 1-1 draws. However, Palace beat Brighton 1-3 at the Amex earlier this season, and the Seagulls won 4-1 at home in February 2024, so there could be goals this time around.
Ultimately, though, we can’t split these sides. We’re predicting another draw at Selhurst Park.
Crystal Palace vs. Brighton Prediction: 2-2
Bookmaker | Tip | Odds |
OVER 2.5 Goals | $1.75 | |
Total Goals By Brighton - OVER 1.5 Goals | $2.18
Draw No Bet - Brighton | $2.02 |
Predicted Lineups
Palace: Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Wharton, Lerma, Mitchell; Sarr, Mateta, Eze
Brighton: Verbruggen; Hinshelwood, van Hecke, Dunk; Estupinan; Baleba, Ayari; Minteh, Pedro, Mitoma; Welbeck
Ipswich Town vs. Wolves
Portman Road, 1:00 AM, Sunday, April 6
Wolves extended their unbeaten run to four matches with a win against West Ham at home on Tuesday. The gap between them and the bottom three means that they are almost definitely safe this year, but Vítor Pereira’s side aren’t on the beach just yet. This match is a relegation six-pointer.
Despite their place in the table, Ipswich Town will be confident going into this match. The Tractor Boys beat Wolves 1-2 at the Molineux back in December. They created more big chances than Wolves in that match. Additionally, Wolves’ goalscorer in that game, Matheus Cunha, will miss this match due to suspension.
It will be tough, but we think Ipswich Town have what it takes to get at least a draw here.
Ipswich Town vs. Wolves Prediction: 1-1
Bookmaker | Tip | Odds |
Both Teams To Score - YES | $1.77
Goals In Both Halves - YES | $1.70
Draw No Bet - Wolves | $1.73 |
Predicted Lineups
Ipswich: Palmer; O’Shea, Woolfenden, Greaves, Davis; Phllips, Cajuste; Philogene, Hutchinson, Enciso; Delap
Wolves: Sa’ Doherty, Agbadou, Toti; Semedo, J.Gomes, Andre, Ait-Nouri; Munetsi, Strand Larsen, Bellegarde
West Ham vs. Bournemouth
London Stadium, 1:00 AM, Sunday, April 6
Bournemouth may be out of the FA Cup, but they are still in the hunt for European places. However, their chances are getting slimmer by the week. The Cherries won just one of their four Premier League matches before the international break.
West Ham, meanwhile, are waiting for the season to end. The Hammers are not going down this year and are not even close to getting into the top half.
Our predictions have Bournemouth winning this one. We also predict lots of goals. The Hammers have conceded in 18 of their last 19 matches. Additionally, each of the last 10 Bournemouth away matches had 2.5 or more goals.
West Ham vs. Bournemouth Prediction: 1-2
Predicted Lineups
West Ham: Areola; Mavropanos, Kilman, Cresswell; Wan-Bissaka, Paqueta, Ward-Prowse, Scarles; Bown, Ferguson, Soler
Bournemouth: Arrizabalaga; Cook, Zabarnyi, Huijsen, Kerkez; Christie, Adams; Tavernier, Kluivert, Semenyo; Evanilson
Aston Villa vs. Nottingham Forest
Villa Park, 3:30 AM, Sunday, April 6
Nottingham Forest have all but secured a place in next year’s Champions League. The Reds extended their gap over the chasing pack with a win against Manchester United on Tuesday, and look set to close out the season strong. However, Aston Villa will be a real test on Saturday.
Unai Emery’s side have not lost at Villa Park since October. They won this fixture against Forest 4-2 last season. Only Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea have a larger Expected Goal Difference at home this year than the Villans.
The only reason to doubt Villa here is that they’ve struggled when playing on short rest. However, Forest will also be fatigued after playing in the FA Cup last weekend and midweek against Man Utd. They have also potentially lost Ola Aina, as he was subbed out against the Red Devils with an injury.
Aston Villa vs. Nottingham Forest Prediction: 2-1
Bookmaker | Tip | Odds |
Forest Goals Range - Between 1 & 2 Inclusive | $1.60
OVER 2.5 Goals | $1.76 | |
Aston Villa To WIN | $2.00 |
Predicted Lineups
Villa: Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Mings, Digne; McGinn, Tielemans; Bailey, Rogers, Rashford; Watkins
Forest: Sels; Williams, Milenkovic, Murillo, Moreno; Yates, Anderson; Elanga, Gibbs-White, Danilo; Awoniyi
Brentford vs. Chelsea
Gtech Community Stadium, 11:00 PM, Sunday, April 6
Chelsea will be looking to secure a place in the top five with a win in this West London derby, while Brentford will be hoping to make a late push for the final European spots.
The last time these two faced off, in December at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea completely dominated the match. They took nearly 30 shots, created 2.23 xG, and won 2-1. Brentford scored a consolation goal in the 90th minute. Our EPL predictions expect something similar this weekend.
The Bees have dropped points in each of their last eight home matches. They have conceded 2+ goals in six of their last seven home matches.
Chelsea should win this match and score plenty of goals doing it in the process.
Brentford vs. Chelsea Prediction: 1-3
Predicted Lineups
Brentford: Flekken; Ajer, Collins, Pinnock, Lewis-Potter; Norgaard, Janelt; Mbeumo, Damsgaard, Schade; Wissa
Chelsea: Sanchez; James, Fofana, Colwill, Cucurella; Fernandez, Caicedo; Neto, Palmer, Sancho; Nkunku
Fulham vs. Liverpool
Craven Cottage, 11:00 PM, Sunday, April 6
After resting their players in the FA Cup last weekend, Fulham failed to beat Arsenal at the Emirates. The Cottagers suffered a 2-1 defeat, and now need a lot of luck to go their way to qualify for next year’s Champions League.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are practically champions already. It would take a historic collapse for the Reds to concede the 10+ points necessary for Arsenal to close the gap. However, the job isn’t done yet. Arne Slot’s side drew 2-2 with Fulham earlier this season, and could slip up again if they are not focused—especially since the Reds have struggled recently.
On the other hand, Fulham have not beaten Liverpool at home since 2011. This season, the Cottagers actually have a worse record at home than away, according to xG created and allowed. So, both history and the numbers are against Marco Silva’s side here.
Fulham vs. Liverpool Prediction: 1-2
Predicted Lineups
Fulham: Leno; Castagne, Diop, Andersen, Robinson; Lukic, Berge; Adama, Smith Rowe, Iwobi; Jimenez
Liverpool: Alisson; Quansah, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Gakpo
Tottenham vs. Southampton
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 11:00 PM, Sunday, April 6
Tottenham have been one of the hardest teams in the Premier League to make predictions for this season. This weekend, though, we are very confident that Spurs will win.
Southampton boss Ivan Juric said that his side’s only goal for the remainder of the season is to avoid breaking Derby County’s record.
“I don't want it to be that we are the worst team in the history of (the) Premier League,” Juric said.
When the opposition manager is making comments like that, you have to win. We think Tottenham will get the job done and win by at least two goals.
Tottenham vs. Southampton Prediction: 3-1
Predicted Lineups
Tottenham: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence; Maddison, Bergvall, Bentancur; Johnson, Solanke, Son
Southampton: Ramsdale; Walker-Peters, Bednarek, Harwood-Bellis, Manning; Ugochukwu, Smallbone; Dibling, Fernandes, Sulemana; Grønbæk
Manchester United vs. Manchester City
Old Trafford, 1:30 AM, Monday, April 7
Manchester United’s malaise continued in Matchweek 30 with a dismal 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest, where former Red Devil Anthony Elanga scored the match-winning goal.
As bad as that result and Man Utd’s season have been, Ruben Amorim’s team has a relatively strong record against Manchester City in recent years. Man Utd have won two of the last three matches against the Sky Blues in all competitions, including last year’s FA Cup final. None of those matches were at Old Trafford, though.
Man City have lost just one of their last five matches away at Man Utd. They won this fixture 0-3 last season and kept a clean sheet against the Red Devils in four of their last five matches at Old Trafford.
Both of these teams are dysfunctional right now, but Man City are in better form and have history on their side here.
Man Utd vs. Man City Prediction: 1-2
Bookmaker | Tip | Odds |
Man Utd Goals Range - Between 1 & 2 Inclusive | $1.58
OVER 2.5 Goals | $1.63 | |
Man City To WIN | $2.05 |
Predicted Lineups
Man Utd: Onana; Mazraoui, de Ligt, Yoro; Dalot, Ugarte, Casemiro; Dorgu; Garnacho, Hojlund, Fernandes
Man City: Ortega; Lewis, Khusanov, Dias, Gvardiol; Gonzalez, Silva; Savio, Marmoush, Doku; Haaland
Leicester City vs. Newcastle
King Power Stadium, 5:00 AM, Tuesday, April 8
Leicester City are all but relegated, while Newcastle are fighting to secure a place in the top five so that they can play in the Champions League again next season.
The Magpies won this match-up 4-0 earlier this season at St James’ Park. Another 4-0 seems unlikely, but it is definitely possible, given Leicester’s record at home this season.
The Foxes have conceded 2+ goals in nine consecutive home matches. They have lost seven straight.
Newcastle, on the other hand, have won two consecutive matches away from home. Liverpool and Man City are the only clubs that have beaten Eddie Howe’s side in away matches for Newcastle this season.
Our EPL predictions have Newcastle winning this match easily.
Leicester vs. Newcastle Prediction: 0-2
Predicted Lineups
Leicester: Hermansen; Faes, Coady, Thomas; Justin, Ndidi, Soumare, Kristiansen; Ayew, Vardy, De Cordova-Reid
Newcastle: Pope; Trippier, Schar, Burn, Livramento, Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton; Murphy, Isak, Barnes
