Vitality Stadium, 4:30 AM, Sunday, March 16
After starting the season with the best home record in the Premier League, Brentford’s form has fallen off a cliff. The Bees suffered a defeat at home last weekend and have now lost eight home matches without a win in all competitions. We say all this to point out that they might actually be better away from home this weekend, especially considering Bournemouth’s own poor home record.
Overall, the Cherries have a mid-table record at home. However, their attack is significantly worse at the Vitality Stadium than away from home. Andoni Iraola’s side have scored just 17 goals at home this season. Only Leicester, Ipswich, and Southampton have scored fewer.
Additionally, Bournemouth have a poor record as favourites recently. The underdog has won in four of the last six matches involving the Cherries.
Bournemouth’s press could see them win, but our EPL predictions have Brentford getting at least a draw here.
