This week, we like Aston Villa to beat Southampton by two goals or more, UNDER 3.5 goals in Chelsea vs. Ipswich Town, and Newcastle to win against Manchester United.

Aston Villa suffered a 3-1 defeat to PSG in the Champions League on Wednesday, but we’re confident that the Villans will dominate Southampton this weekend. The Saints have officially been relegated and have fired their manager. However, they are still a terrible team.

Southampton have conceded multiple goals in seven of their last eight PL matches. They allowed the opposition to score 3+ goals in four of their last six games. Villa, meanwhile, had scored three goals in three of their last four away matches before losing to PSG on Wednesday.

We think this trend will hold true, so we’re taking Aston Villa -1.5-goal handicap against Southampton @ $2.45.

April 13, 11:00 PM, Stamford Bridge

Despite losing 2-0 to Ipswich Town earlier this season, Chelsea are huge favourites to win this match. However, our EPL predictions don’t think it will be as wild a game as the betting sites do.

The over/under for this match is 3.5 goals. Just one of the Tractor Boys’ last five away matches has had over 3.5 goals. Additionally, Chelsea have struggled to score recently, even against poor sides. The Blues have scored more than one goal in a PL match only twice since February. One of those matches was against Southampton.

We predict Chelsea will win this match, but there won’t be a lot of goals. Our pick here is Chelsea vs. Ipswich Town – UNDER 3.5 goals @ $1.65.

April 14, 1:30 AM, St. James' Park

Newcastle have gone from strength to strength since winning the EFL Cup last month. Since returning from their celebrations, the Magpies have easily dispatched Brentford and Leicester City, and now look set to qualify for next year’s Champions League.

Manchester United, on the other hand, are destined to finish in the bottom half of the table this season. Even worse than that, the Red Devils have flatlined offensively. Their previous two matches—against Nottingham Forest and Manchester City, respectively—were some of the dullest PL matches of the season.

Newcastle already beat Man Utd once this season and have not lost to the Red Devils at home since 2020. We think they will win again this weekend.
