The 2025 Australian Open is approaching the business-end of the tournament, with four semi-finals unfolding over the next two days in Melbourne. We dig into three of these, outlining how well-placed bets on Australian betting apps can net you a 3.5x return as a multi bet.
Australian Open Multi Bet With 3.5x Return on Semi-Final Action

Best Multi Bet for Australian Open Semi-Finals
Jannik Sinner vs Ben Shelton
Melbourne Park, January 24th, time TBC
Under 3.5 sets @ 1.60
Jannik Sinner has been absolutely amazing at this year’s Australian Open. He’s looked great to start and is looking even better with every match. His quarter-final win over Alex de Minaur was particularly impressive as the Italian advanced with ease.
Shelton has also been pretty good but he hasn’t faced a player that is remotely close to the level of Sinner so far in Melbourne. It might be a bit of a shock once he starts playing the Italian, in fact, we’re banking on it being a shock.
They’ve had a couple of matches so far with Sinner dominating comfortably. He has won four straight against the American and he didn’t drop a set during that time. It mostly comes down to Sinner being that much better from the baseline.
Shelton does have the massive serve and it’s worked really well so far but eventually he will run into some issues when he has to start playing some rallies. That’s why we’re backing another straight-sets win for Sinner. He’s just the much more talented player with 12 consecutive wins on these courts.
Novak Djokovic vs Alexander Zverev
Melbourne, January 24th, time TBC
Zverev handicap sets +1.5 @ 1.60
Novak Djokovic did extremely well to outplay Carlos Alcaraz at the Australian Open, but we don’t think it will be as easy against Zverev. The German has a few tricks which can make things a bit tougher for Djokovic.
For one, there is the serve, which should prove to be a massive advantage, especially in close games or a tiebreak. Then there is the physical aspect, as Zverev is in better shape than Djokovic and likely can outlast the Serbian if the match becomes physical.
Djokovic already showed some signs of fatigue against Alcaraz, though the Spaniard didn’t take full advantage. Then there is the way the Serbian beat Alcaraz. The No 3 seed was timid, very timid, and we don’t expect that from Zverev. Even if he is, he’s very good at that and should be able to extend rallies quite a bit.
Given the complexity of this match up, the safest bet is simply on Zverev running Djokovic close at worst. We lean towards Zverev as the winner and a +1.5-set handicap is just a safer way to back that. If he basically wins two sets, it’s over and we think it’s very likely to happen.
Iga Swiatek vs Madison Keys
Melbourne, January 23rd, approximately 9:30pm AEDT
Under 22.5 games @ 1.40
This is another one of those matches that is simply a matchup problem for one of the players. Keys is a tremendously streaky player who can hit the ball like no other. She also has a really good serve but all of this hinges on whether it’s her day.
There is a chance that she might have her best stuff when she faces Swiatek, but we think it’s pretty unlikely. Mostly because she won’t have the comfort to play the way she likes to play, as a lot of pressure will come from the other side.
Swiatek looks very focused and very motivated and has generally played really crisp tennis this year. The only loss she has in 2025 was against Coco Gauff who is a bit of a different profile than Keys and doesn’t play similarly.
Overall, we simply think that Swiatek is the far better player and she will show that. The under on the games is a good bet because the line is rather high, especially when you look at how their previous matches went.
They played two matches last year and both were easy wins for Swiatek. The sets were 6-1, 6-3, 6-1, and 6-3. Granted it was on clay but we still expect she will dominate here.
